Obsessed with Red another All For Eve FOTD

After my initial reservations about red lipstick I suddenly found myself addicted. I've hardly wanted to wear another colour for a while now. Initially I kept to no colour on the lids, but a sneeky bit of green has crept in there and I'm likeing it a lot.

Face
Illamasqua Matte Primer
MUFE HD Foundation  in 110
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Conquest - as a concealer -particularly around the lip area- not close up to the eyes due to the peppermint oil
Benefit it stick -under the eyes - looking a shade too yellow here

Eyes
Blinc mascara - Top lashes only from in line with the inner iris at rest looking forwards.
I love Blinc particularly for this as I don't want colour on my lower lashes. I always get transfer and Blinc is so simple to remove without mess - simply a dab of water and pressure. If I wasn't learning to adopt the hygiene practices of an MUA I would tell you that I lick my fingers and gently tease off the transfer leaving clean lashes below.

Avon Super Shock gel liner - Black
On the inner upper lashline only. From the same point as the mascara starts to the outer corner.
This then transfers to the bottom inner lash line giving me just the right amount of colour there.

When this is dry, then I do the shadow.

No primer
Boots No7 Spring 2011 Shadows applied with finger
Sand colour all over the lid and socket area, then green over the mobile lid and brought out to show a little on the outer corner.

No Brows
I like them plain for this look

Cheeks
Smashbox Softlights
with a small kabuki on the apples of the cheeks

Lips
Eve Red
applied, blotted coated with
Makeup Store lipsealer
and applied again

Mr Sparklz was in the room making me laugh when I took these pics!

  3. That second picture is the face that I spotted as I stepped out of Oxford Circus :D. It looks lovely on you and I wondered how you'd got it to last so well. Obviously the sealer is the trick to it.

  4. @Lillian - I can see me ending up with a million too! x

@Nicoletta - I reckon you can grow into the confidence by wearing it too ;)

@Jane - I got fed up of not being able to kiss Mr Sparklz if I wore a bright lip!! I was also fascinated to see David Horne had Lipcote as part of the school kit at Illamasqua - need to compare....

  5. You are so pretty and this may sound strange but when I look at you I feel like I'm looking at someone from another time period. Not that you look old - just different I guess the only word I can think of to describe you is Romantic.

  6. @Annabella - That did make me chuckle - I spent my teenage years with my hair up imagining wearing crinolines...... Or immersed in Testament of Youth. :D
