Illamasqua's Eye Liner Cake can be mixed with water but is more budge resistant and longer lasting if you mix it with Sealing Gel. One or two drops at the most mixed with the cake and tested for consistency on the back of the hand. Another reason for my precise black liner fear has been drying time. I just can't keep my lids still enough to not to make a mess with gel liners - this however dries so quickly that I only had the tiniest amount of transfer to deal with.

Here's a couple of pics of a design I did on the Illamasqua Eye Design Course I attended back in June, it came so hot on the heels of the Building Creativity Course that I never got round to posting about it.

Wow it looks so dramatic and looks like it has a lovely sheeny finish. The one I used today was matt, so even less forgiving. I so hear you about harsh lines being less than flattering as we get older. I think the same about so many makeup looks - boo!

@Nic - Whenever I'd tried a bold liner before I'd get it everywhere - transfer to my upper lid was a nightmare whilst it dries. I'm blown away every time I use this stuff. Horrid having to leave things behind isn't it. x
