A note about disappearing.

One day you're celebrating two years of blogging, the next day you're hearing sad family news that puts blogging and all thoughts of cosmetics firmly into second place. There is just so much to be cherished and thankful for.

What with that, and several heavy rounds of homework needing my attention, I've ended up with a bit of writers block. It's always the same, the longer I don't post, the more pressure I heap on myself to get the next post just right....and before you know it 2 weeks have gone by. Hopefully get there soon. x

    1. Thanks. If I haven't done a post in a while it builds up in my head. Writing this is kind like a break the ice post so that I feel more relaxed about getting on with things again. Talking helps as they say. x

    1. Thank you lovely! I don't intend to be away much longer - 2 weeks has vanished in a flash. This time of year is just so dreadful for taking pics anyway, it's easy to feel down about blogging without a bit of upset thrown in as well. xx

  5. It's very hard to blog when you don't feel like it and as you say, this time of year isn't pretty hard anyway in terms ok pics etc. I'm sure you'll be back to your blogging self when IMATS has inspired you xx

    1. I read your post just before I went out earlier and as usual you put it much better than I managed. Yes I've had a bit of added down to deal with, but I do think as you said that January cold and light and the lack of spending power really do have a cyclical down on blogging effect. I was remembering you saying much the same thing about IMATS to me this time last year. Looking forward to catching up with you in person :) x

  6. Its hard to concentrate when theres a lot going on in your personal life. I know that from experience. I took a break for quite a few months and felt like I had slipped away actually and let a lot of people down. Im back though, just like you will be soon... and it'll be like you've never been away. xxx

  9. Relax, I have always found your blog unique and as such there is no other blogger out there snapping at your heels for your share of blog readers!! Everyone that comes here will continue to come here if you take a break for a week or two or even a bit longer, life has to come before blogging. Chin up xx

  10. January is one of the hardest months to blog - you probably know that by now! And we all have lives too so don't beat yourself up.

I've got an idea for a FOTD when you feel like it? Why not get the kids to do one for Valentines Day? I'd love to see what they could create to match your red hair!

    A xoxo
