I'm not really obsessed with the garden rocks at the moment!
Down from 12 colours to 10, the shadows still weigh in at 9.6g of product. Visually I find this so much more pleasing and as a style it fits much better with the 'pro' concept too. More room to sweep the brush across the pan, instead of rubbing in one spot, which may cause the surface to break up. I'm so happy about this change - I think it's a huge, huge improvement, which had me running upstairs to swatch as soon as this landed in my hand tonight.
As to the shades in Going for Gold, I'm looking forward to playing with the concept of all Golds, Silvers and Bronzes. Of course I'm in love with the vibrancy of shade 5 but the neutrals of 1 and 6 are calling me too. 6 isn't showing hugely in my swatch pictures but it is detectable on the skin...just and that's part of the beauty of it. Shade 2 looks almost matte on me, it isn't but that will make it all the more useful.

lovely colors !
ReplyDeleteLove the square pans, still unsure about some of the colours but for £4 can't really go wrong!
ReplyDeleteI like that there's a range of silvers and golds to play with. I think it will make a great palette to reach for when a bit of metallic is needed for a look - knowing you have a range at hand in one place.
DeleteThese are all gorgeous shades and the square pans are much nicer but I'm stumped with this one I'm afraid! I don't know what I would do with them all! *sees a challenge*
ReplyDeleteI think initially I thought it would be helpful just to have around when silver or gold to hand. Once I got my hands on it though I have several ideas buzzing around. As usual for me it's all in the swathing - gets me fired up with ideas. I look forward to seeing some challenge results ;) x
