It's all in the product choice.....Naked

With a scalp that has always been prone to a touch of irritability, I took the plunge into the world of SLS  free shampoo nearly 2 years ago, with the launch of the Liz Earle shampoo and conditioner. A few months back though, I decided it was time for a bit of a change. Explore what else was on the market. I picked on the Care range, from Naked during an impromptu visit to Boots Oxford Street. My scalp was feeling irritated so I reasoned this would be the best bet.......totally wrong. From the off it was all wrong, my hair felt like straw, actually greasy straw.

In the days before Twitter and Blogging, this would have gone in the bin and I'd never have gone near Naked again. Tweeting my miserableness - amazing how quickly bad hair gets you down - I received the lovely offer of trying a different range from the Naked arsenal. And it really goes to show how that momentary decision can make all the difference. A few uses of one line, would have written off a whole brand  forever, the other, painted a whole different picture.

A shampoo and conditioner from the Naked Shine range, was selected for me. I admit, I wasn't at all convinced it was going to make the slightest difference, but instantly my hair was happier again. Several month later, I can still vouch for that and I'll definitely be taking another look at Naked, next time I hit a big Boots!

  1. Really like the naked shampoos and conditioners - they have a really good intensive one in the line. Plus, i feel like their shampoos foam up reasonably well so you're hair feels cleaner - I think thats totally psychological ;)

    1. I hadn't thought of that, the Shine one certainly does, I have a feeling the Care one, less so. I'll keep an eye out for the intensive. Thanks for the recommendation. x

  2. I've been known to use the shampoo as shower gel it's that lovely! Can't cope with my damaged hair though which is a massive shame because I loved them pre-damage.

    1. Ooo that's an idea, I'll use up the Care shampoo that way! Already made heavy inroads into the conditioner as part of the recent nit offensive - a ton of conditioner slows them down whilst you comb them out. Waste not want not!!

Shame they can't cope. What happened to your hair? Maybe in the future.... x
